Kaspar Tack, a soldier (Soldat), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27 along with his wife Anna Katharina and children (Maria Theresa, age 16; Paul, age 13).
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Tack came from the German village of Lauffen in Württemberg.
